For Publiek Park, the French artist Lise Duclaux created a new iteration of 'de stokroos wandeling / promenade de pas de porte' (2023). This performance was developed in close collaboration with LLS Paleis and Annie Gentils Gallery. In parallel to the solo exhibition 'Les abeilles et les fleurs indociles' at Annie Gentils Gallery, at Publiek Park, Lise Duclaux is presenting a performance that unfolds as a walk. The walk begined at LLS Paleis and leads to Albert Park. Meandering the city streets, the artist directed the visitor's focus toward the vegetation that thrives even in concrete surroundings. The artist explores the idea that specific plants might have domesticated humans, reversing the usual notion of humans being the ones who domesticate their fellow species. The performance took place on Saturday, September 16. It started at LLS Paleis (Paleisstraat140), arriving at Annie Gentils Galerie (Peter Benoitstraat 40) and ending at the Music Kiosk in Albertpark.
