we all need favourable conditions / making world is not limited to humans / we should be humus / make space for unexpected companions / the daily surface thickens / our lawns are too short / let’s stop emptying our surroundings / the earth moves and is moved / with and in the living on and under our feet / save the darkness / the imperceptible trembling of reality / let’s change our nature / what is necessary may seem useless to us / truce with the earth / it all ends it all begins in the soil / the living a memory on the surface of the present / and this morning I discovered the world again / home is always home to so many others / a shareable reality / all livings beings are desirous beings / a delicate opacity / roots slip between roots / we are all hybrids / let’s change your habits / the living is invented together / nothing is self-evident / root the earth / the real is angry / the climate never allows itself to be softened / it’s up to plants to decide the seasons

you can hear the poetry of disobedience humming through the drawings and riso prints of visual artist Lise Duclaux. Duclaux's work weaves the story of bee and flower and their intricate dance of fertilisation, their sleep and search for food. What is striking is the way the artist captures bees and flowers in their autonomy from and resistance to the scientific yardstick of utility and categorisation. An expo that reads like a challenge to man 'as the measure of all things'.
hoor je de poëzie van ongehoorzaamheid zoemen door de tekeningen en riso prints van beeldend kunstenaar Lise Duclaux. Duclaux’ werk weeft het verhaal van bij en bloem en hun ingewikkelde dans van bevruchting, hun slaap en zoektocht naar voedsel. Wat opvalt is de manier waarop de kunstenaar bijen en bloemen vat in hun autonomie ten aanzien van en verzet tegen de wetenschappelijke maatstaf van nut en categorisering. Een expo die voor de mens ‘als maat van alle dingen’ leest als een uitdaging.
